Jimmy Carringer

He was a four sport letterman at Coffee from 1957-1961, lettering in football, basketball, baseball and track.  He started at offensive and defensive tackle during his final three seasons. Those three teams posted a 26-4 record. He was an All TVC and All Tri-Cities lineman. He was also named to the All State team as a senior as well as the National High School All American team. He is a member of the All Coffee High team, as selected by the Times Daily.  He received scholarship offers from SEC teams and accepted an offer from Georgia Tech.  After one year, he transferred to UNA and played on the offensive and defensive lines.
