Kristal Turpen

Lauderdale County posted a 98-4 record, and won three girls state championships, during her three years, as a starter for the girls basketball team. She averaged 14 ppg. as a sophomore during a 30-2 season in 1990-91; 17 ppg. during a 34-1 season in 1991-92; and 19.5 ppg., 3.9 rpg., 3.9 apg., and 4.1 spg., as a senior during a 34-1 season.  She was chosen All-State, All-Area, All-County, and numerous other all-star teams as well as being chosen MVP in state tournament in 1993. She was chosen to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star team. She later signed to play at Jacksonville State.
