Mike Stamps

 

Played baseball at Wilson High School, graduating in 1982. Attended Northwest-Shoals on a baseball scholarship and later attended Freed Hardeman (1984-1987) and Trevecca Nazarene University (2006-2007). Has coached at Waterloo since 1989, coaching softball for 17 years, girls basketball for 19 years, and football for 7 years. Won state girls basketball championship in 1990. Teams have also won six area titles, made six trips to regional tournament and appeared in three regional championship games. He has 347-198 record as girls basketball coach. In softball, Waterloo won state championships in 1993, '94, '95, '97, '01, '03, '05, and '06, and finishing second two other times. He has 594-134 record in softball, leading team to 14 area tournaments and posting 14 area and section championships.
