Patrick Hape

He was an All-State performer at Brooks High School in 1992. He played tight end, linebacker and running back, rushing for 660 yards and scoring seven touchdowns for the Lions. He signed with the University of Alabama and lettered four years. Perhaps known more for his blocking skills, he was credited with playing a huge role in the Tide's offensive success. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 1997 NFL draft and played four seasons with Tampa Bay and Denver, before ending his pro career in Houston. His best season was in 2001, his first with the Broncos, as he caught 15 passes. He was known as one of the league's top H-backs.
