Sandy Witt Bradley

She was a standout at Central High School 1978-1981.  Witt was a three year starter for the basketball team.  She was selected to the All County and All Area Teams all three years.  She was named to the TimesDaily All Area Team.  As a senior she averaged 19.5 points per game, 5 blocked shots, and 82% at the free throw line.  She received offers to play basketball at David Lipscomb and Calhoun.  In volleyball she was selected to the All County teams 1979-1981, All Area teams 1978-1981, and TimesDaily Senior All Area Team.  She was the first female athlete to receive an athletic scholarship.  She signed to play with UNA.  As a freshman she was named UNA Most Improved Player.  During her sophomore year she was selected to the GSC All-Tournament Team.  After college she pursued a career in teaching and coaching.  As the head volleyball coach at Wilson she experienced much success in 15 years.  Over 400 career wins, including 6 Area, 4 County, 1 Regional, 3 Sub Regional, Championships  and 5 Elite 8 State appearances and 3 State Final Four.
