Tom Braly

To have a stadium named in your honor speakss volumes about your contribution to a school and your community. There's little question that Tom Braly maintained the utmost respect from Coffee High School and the Florence Community. Braly Stadium has become one of the top high school venues in Alabama as well as being the most coveted stadium in which to play in NCAA Division II football.   He was a four-year letterman in basketball and football at Coffee High School. He coached at Waterloo, Lauderdale County, Hackleburg and Marion County during his career. His accomplishments include a state championship in 1940 at Marion County.  He was a teacher, coach and principal at Coffee from 1941 through 1948.
